I look after globally of the trading floor application support of our main trading location (Paris, London, Hong Kong & New York)
Generally speaking, it is about
o 1st and 2nd Trading floor application support
o BAU project management
o Managing and orchestrate my team’s role in order to ensure trading desks functional and technical support in order to assist them for their daily tasks
o Ensuring and orchestrate any functional and production issue follow up and resolution
o Ensuring a smooth and efficient communication to the floors and the trading desks regarding the incidents and their resolution progress
o Liaising with business sponsors, IT development teams to control, test, deploy new system releases for the trading floor as long as new business requirements have to be to handled
o Defining and setup relevant functional and systems metrics statistics in order control, follow up, alerts about all major system potential failures
Main achievements:
o Orchestrate & lead the trading floor (FO/MO) users migration to SOPHIS5.3.x version
o Streamline FO/MO BAU and CTB projects
o Create a global , sustainable, business focus trading floor support team across regions
o Industrialize critical application & batches monitoring , alerting , releases processes to match SLA and key business delivery expectations
My team ‘s scope :
o OMS, Electronic Market Making systems: Warrants& CBBC, Listed Options, Futures and Cash
o Position & Risk management system
o Sales & Structured Product system
o PNL & Risk & Operation batches
o Downstream data feed checking and quality resolution

I ‘ve looked after globally of all electronic systems used for trading BONDS and IRS products for this business.
The list of system is a mix of :
o in-house application for prices contribution, market-making and trading functionalities
o vendor solution for market access
Main achievements:
o Globalize our main bond electronic system on the 4 main trading floors : Paris, London, Hong Kong, New York
o Initialize and deliver a first version of our eCommerce Web Portal
o Define and rollout a global testing and release process to ensure that a robust time to market delivery
Global Head of Architecture for Equity Derivatives & Structured Rates
My job was to define the IT strategy & project initiation for Equities Derivatives and Structured Rates business
During my time in this role, I have initiated and succeeded to implement four main projects such as
o Refactoring of the structured prices contribution system
o Creation of a new risks system based on an in-memory OLAP cube for the Equity Derivatives desks
o Creation of a new static data management system using a web based technology
o Define and rollout the technology stack required for the IT development teams
My job was to provide systems for marketers and trading desk. The projects provide deal capture capabilities, client contribution database storage, Primebrokerage and secondary market trading functionalities
One of my main objectives now is to setup an electronic transactional system for secondary market in order to provide private banking, asset manager the capability to perform deals throughout an electronic platform.
Four teams are currently under my responsibilities
• Secondary Market Trading System Team (7 people team)
The goal of this system is to provide structured product pricing capabilities, position management and pricing publication for the secondary market sales and trading desk.
• Sale Systems Team (6 people team)
The goal of this team is to provide system for marketer team needs. Those s systems cover the following functionalities:
o Client Contribution capture
o Deal capture and validation
o Term sheet automatic generation
o Pricing capabilities
o CRM capabilities
o Static report publication
• Prime Brokerage System Team(8 people team)
The goal of this team is to provide Prime Brokerage capabilities for our Fund Managers such as:
o Var computation & simulation
o Report on-line generation and publication
o Position management
• Internet and Web Team (11 people team)
The goal of this team is to provide internet and intranet systems for marketing and sales teams
o RLP web sites
o Institutional web sites for position management
o Compliance systems
My job was to build a consistent core referential worldwide IT platform in order to handle position, deal, market data and products for the front-office/middle-office/back-office desks and trading/sales applications using the latest distributed and integrated technical solutions
Six different projects were under my responsibilities
• Exotic Product Trading System and Trading Events Management ( 6 people team)
The goals of those projects are to provide a database and set of distributed services to handle exotic products and trading events management like barrier crossing and fixing analysis.
The exotic trading desk is the major client for more than three years now.
• Market Data Trading System ( 6 people team)
This project is all about market data management. The system handles the storage of market and reference data and provides distributed services based on J2EE/Corba technology for front-office trading systems.
• Front Office Booking Layer and Exotic Workflow Process ( 3 people team)
The goal of this project is to provide a unique real time deal booking service to front-office client applications. This booking layer masks the complexity of BNP PARIBAS Arbitrage deal/position heterogeneous databases.
One of the interesting achievements is the SwapsSwire OTC trading platform integration.
Next major challenge is to setup a worldwide STP workflow system for the exotic trading desk in order to ease sales/quoter/trader interaction desks and to automate sales/pricing tools/booking database systems interaction. First version of this project has been delivered first week of January with 10 traders. The main goal is to cover all the sales/trading desks this year
• EAI Listed Deal STP Integration between Front-Middle-Back Office systems ( 3 people team)
The goal of this project is to connect all the systems that manage listed deal in real time processing. Started in March 2003, all the systems are now fully integrated in Paris. We are working today to integrate all the abroad sites.
• Referential Distributed Services ( 3 people team)
The goal of this project is to provide a set of distributed components to access to referential such as positions, deals and market data.
Build using the latest J2EE technology; front-end clients for PNL/Risk computation, exotic trading tools, now use all those services. Fully deployed in Paris for now 3 years, the next step is to deploy them on abroad sites.
• OTC Confirmation Workflow (3 people team)
With this tool, no more physical ticket are handled between the different desks. Now, a workflow manages the confirmation between trading, legal and back-office desks.
• Static Referential Data Synchronization ( 2 people team)
The goal of this project is to synchronize referential static data among ten heterogeneous systems in real time.
The job was about to deliver software and pricer applications for the equity derivatives trading and sales desk.
The systems cover mostly swaps and option products trading capabilities.
This tool has been developed using the latest technologies in a distributed architecture system.
At the end of my job, this system:
• Has been deployed in the main trading sites (London , Paris, Frankfort, New York, Hong Kong, Tokyo)
• was used daily by 40 peoples (Trader, Structurers, Sales)
