In 1999, Johnson & Johnson have decided to be Best connected company within the pharmaceutical industry. Aligning with this strategy I have been in charge to network manage the most secure (x509 - PKI) and reliable internet either deployment within a GxP environment. Using VPN technology to provide, B2E, B2B and B2A functionality by combining advanced technology such as Cisco Firewall Pix, Content Engine and Nortel Contivity equipment including 3DES 256bits encryption.
Working with the NCS groups (deployment & operations), we have installed and deployment all European Backbone
Network Center using AT&T and WCOM for internet access combining strict SLA that allow 65ms round trip within their network. Using B2E equipment such as Linksys and Nortel VPN-E, we have managed massive deployment for local workforce. Reviewing the security of our B2B partner, we have migrated theirs links to an Adsl central management point using strong authentication.
As part of the project, I was responsible to coordinate and manage the qualification of the network. Planning and authoring the validation procedure from VMP (Validation Master Plan) to the various Validation Plans (VPÂfs) down to process and network validation Installation Qualification (IQfs), the Operational Qualification (OQfs) and Performance Qualification (PQfs) protocols. Reviewing all network production processes and all network software/hardware to develop scope of validation task. Interviewing and selecting further validation contract and permanent staff. I have completed the Life Cycle
Validation requirements including implementation of Part 11 compliance validations, such as GAAP analysis and Traceability matrix.

FTTB (Fiber to the Business) with Flash10 in Spain ($450M Potential)
In 1999, Clarence Chadran (Nortel Networks COO) had decided to organise a Trail in Spain for new Optical GEPON
technology in order to provide FTTB for Voice, Data (1Go/s Internet) and Video (Broadcast and Video on Demand).
Flash10 customer has been elected as the first worldwide trial for FTTB in the Cataluna region.
Working with Nortel Network Fast Ethernet Vice-president (Franck Lockwood) and EMEA NGSP Commercial VP (Peter Kelly), I have put in place 3 worldwide team (Ottawa, London and Spain) working respectively in R&D, Test (Trial) and
Implementation to manage the delivery of FTTB project. I was responsible for the coordination of all team with direct report
of project director in each region. I have manage and contribute to the success of the FTTB project until Nortel (due to Bear
Market) has decided in April to hold the project and concentrate his R&D effort in the Gigabit Optical Ethernet.
Deployment of Red Electrica Telecommunication (RET) DWDM Spanish network ($55M)
Since the deregulation of the Spanish electricity, RET have decided to re-use his current vast network and convert it as an
optical MAN (Multiple DWDM 10Go/s) for Telecom Operators (Comunitel, C&W, etc.), in Spain and Portugal.
Working with RET in all his Spanish entities, we have organised and planned the deployment of his new network by
upgrade his current PDH and SDH, re-using his existing fiber to his new DWDM network.
Working with Fields Operations peoples from Installation, Commissioning and Integrations, we have put in place the
network and the Network NOC to support the new network business of RET.
Main duties involved define, plan and execute with minimum disruption the hand over of the PDH and SDH fiber with JDS
couplers to re-use free fiber as the skeleton of RET Backbone.
Bid management engagement for multi-million pounds and Change Request production including NOC implementation and
Turnkey projects etc. Bid activities - C&W IP Contact Center (Â’21M), Orange EMS-CM (’2,5M), Fast point xDSL rollout
($4M), Crane Telecom Full outsourcing IN services ($4M).
