Borderlinx is a British company based in London and has a branch in Brussels.
I developed a Perl module.
This module generates 2 dimensional barcodes "PDF417" in a PDF files.
The generated barcodes had to be read by an electronic device.
It was a good experience because I worked alone on this project so I proved my self-government.

A big part of my work was functional. I started a project from scratch with the managers and the clients. I started by collecting all the clients requirements, studying them, classifying them…This was managed thanks to AGILE methodology. I also participated to the technical analysis of the project. We choose to work with Web Dynpro Abap and Sap Entreprise Portal. So I had some trainings, given by internal specialists and external consultant. Then I participated to the implementation of the project.

FUNCTIONAL PART (SAP EH&S):
The first service enables the users to key-in data of a new substance that they invented. They can specify the different compositions (standard, private…) of the new substance, its particular attributes & specification, color, odor, dangerousness, access. These data are saved in the EH&S system.
Then these data are transferred to a special company that based on their composition, generates a PDF file that specifies the dangerousness of the new substance, how it can be transported, the degrees of humidity and warmth that it can support. A part of this PDF document is also pasted on the product box when it is transported from a site to another or when it is delivered to a client.
