Jan 2018 - aujourd'huiRole synopsis: The project started in 2014, as a part of a three years plan to develop and modernize the Zakat and Tax Automation System. The main requirement was to use SAP’s ten quality principles to complete an effective, fast, low cost implementation, with simplified business processes and deliver significant business benefits to the organization. Invenio was chosen to lead the implementation of the GAZT project, after a comprehensive selection process, competing with companies such as Oracle and Bull SAS, the incumbent system providers. The project was a challenge due to the poor quality of data and the need for extensive training of 1200 tax officers. Ten GAZT offices across Saudi Arabia went live at the same time, just a month before the tax collection peak period, which required fast and precise teamwork. Now that the system has been updated, GAZT tax officers no longer have to process paper-based returns, as these were successfully transferred to the new system leading to faster and more accurate processing. Through the completion of this project, the Tax and Revenue Management solution became the first system in the world where a tax return system is available across all mobile devices.
