IFS Migration Consultant

ERP IFS Migration Consultant.

As an IFS Migration consultant you will be involved in the ETL activities and provide technical support through various phases of the project activities. You will also be expected to be comfortable with data manipulation and querying within Excel and Oracle.

Relevant Experience:

Ideally 5 or more years of Experience (IFS 10 and above)

Comfortable with some stakeholder management activities, primarily around solution development and data alignment for migration activities.

Familiarity with data sets across the IFS ERP platform – Company, site etc through to individual streams such as SCM, Projects and Finance.

Job Responsibilities

• ETL Migration Activities

• Data Script development (primarily SQL)

• Responsibility for load, execution and modification of migration jobs in IFS.

• Provide technical support to the Data Team and customer as required.

• Provide process documentation, technical specifications and test case documentation as required.

• Be able to perform technical testing and be familiar with the principles of SIT and UAT.

• Act as a contact person for the Data Technical Team to the customer where necessary

• Expected to work to understand the customer requirement

• Recommendations on Solution as per IFS application standards.

• Guiding and assisting the customer with testing and Go Live cut-over strategies.

Below are the most common activities which you would require to perform during the Project of IFS.

• Coordination with customer to obtain data sets relative to the project streams.

• Maintain and develop ‘Detailed Design Specification (DDS) documentation along with documentation for test cases where needed.

• Coordination with Transformation tool owners (DellBoomi) defining transformation rules and refining the extraction files.

• Debug on Errors during Trial Cutover phases.

Overall Qualifications :

Essential:

• Expertise in business process mapping and deployment.

• Strong problem-solving ability, analytical skills, and strategic thinking.

• Ability to communicate within the team and present findings where applicable.

• Ability to work independently and within a team setting.

• Fluent in English and local language, both oral and written.

Desirable:

• Knowledge and record of IFS implementations/Upgrade / Support projects.

• Industry-specific knowledge from target industries.

• Familiarity with Finance data and its application within IFS.

• IFS Cloud Finance Certification will be added value.

• Ability to travel nationally and internationally.
